Sheikh Mohammed Al Mahdi Sharafuddin was an Egyptian Qur'an reciter, Munshid and Maqamat teacher active from 1980 to 2017 till passing away during his prayer. Sheikh Mohammed was known for his vocal ability and unique style. He recited Qur'an in public Islamic gatherings in many countries starting from Egypt, Sultanate of Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Islamic Republic of Iran and Algeria. Sheikh Mohammed did teach many students in his YouTube Show "Sharaf Guest" how to recite Qur'an correctly and how to use Maqamat efficiently. His works are played on Egyptian Radio and TV. He was the Qur'an reciter in many mosques like Sidi El Gharib Mosque in Suez, Egypt, Masjid Al Shanfari in Salalah, Oman, and Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo, Egypt.
