Cate has spent over 35 years working collaboratively in education. She is an avid painter, gardener, and musician. In 2019, Cate was elected to the East Lyme Board of Education. Irving Steel has spent over 10 years internationally in Europe and Asia. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He's the Founder of an environmental nonprofit organization in China that was in existence for over 13 years, as well as two startups in Asia focused on sustainability. Irving has worked on several election campaigns, was an early team member of a health technology startup, and loves hiking in the woods with his dog.
