The best way to grasp the engineering mindset and learn how cars work is by seeing it for yourself! My approach is balanced between my experience as a professional mechanical engineer with hands-on, easy to understand visual tutorials. This gives you a broad overview of how components fit and work together in a subsystem, technical knowledge, and the reasoning why components were designed in a certain way to begin with.
