Mr. Chapman Reads... is a channel for those who love reading and listening to stories and poems. It is aimed at children of primary school age and features texts suitable for these age groups. Some of the stories are my own personal choices while others are recommended texts for children based on current National Curriculum requirements. Reading is fundamental to a child's development and something that should not just be taught in school as a skill but something that can be enjoyed anywhere, opening doors and allowing children to access ideas and vocabulary across a wide range of mediums and cultures. As a qualified and professional teacher, I read stories every day and I hope that this channel allows more people to enjoy the magic of stories and improve their literacy skills as a result.
