Marc Pollen is de main host en creator achter Scherpschutters. Zijn achtergrond ligt bij het Korps Mariniers en NLMARSOF, waar hij tactisch commandant was van de antiterreureenheid. Vanuit deze achtergrond maakt hij connectie met zijn gasten en hun verhalen.
