Minenhle Lesley Mnguni, professionally known as 031choppa is a South African vocalist, singer, producer & songwriter. Born in 1998 in KwaMashu, Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Minenhle moved to Jeppe, Johannesburg in January 2016 after finishing his matric together with his friend. His brother was a big fan of Ringo Madlingozi,2pac, and Bone Thugs. All these artists have a massive influence on the sound produced by 031choppa today. His music career started in 2019 when he lost his job as a salesman at Crocs and decided to be a full-time producer and beat maker, working with several artists of "The new wave" such as the likes of Costa Titch, Vegas×Cesar, and many more. In 2021, Choppa's producing career took the spotlight when he produced "Super soft" by AKA and Costa Titch which hit the number-one spot for weeks on the radio monitor. He also produced a number of hits in the industry for the likes of Riky Rick, AKA, DJ Maphorisa and Sjava to name a few.
