Og nå har det kommet tre nye rekrutter til byens redningsetater, og de gjør sitt til at Vennebyen aldri vil bli helt som det byen en gang var. Bli med på eventyrene som Apa, Ted og Elfie opplever når de tre rekruttene lærer hvordan de skal bli ekte redningsmannskaper. Sammen med mannskapene på brannbilen, politibilen og sykebilen gjør de sitt aller beste for at Vennebyen skal være et trygt og godt sted. Vennebyen er en tv-serie for barn mellom 2 og 6 år, og serien er inspirert av barns fasinasjon av utrykningsetatene. Samarbeid, vennskap, toleranse, kunnskap, aktivitet og moro er stikkord for dem som bor i Vennebyen.
