Hi, I’m Whitney. I’m just trying to share our story and de-mystify special needs parenting and how to deal with the loss of a child. I was a mother to 3 kids until my 2 youngest passed from INAD. Harrison passed when he was 6 on 1.1.22 and Riley passed when she was 8 on 7.23.22. We did so many things as a family: NYC, the beach, Disney, Orlando, Nashville Zoo, Atlanta aquarium and so many trips to the mountains. We made sure our kids had the best life possible. After their deaths, I was diagnosed with and have since beaten heart failure, my husband and I have managed to fall deeper in love and our world revolves around Reagan, our oldest child who is almost 21. Welcome to our journey as we try to navigate life after loss, marriage and being understandably overprotective of our remaining child. And you should know that I cope with very dark humor.
