Volcano news mixed with Icelandic history, culture, documentaries and travel information trough 4K footage and English narration with rough North Icelandic accent. My name is Gylfi and I'm a professional Icelander, using my local knowledge bring Iceland to you nut my approach is however the " non touristy way" or Iceland as is, from my own heart, with a dash of sarcasm or humour when I feel so. Your chance to get to know my Iceland like I would like my friends to know my country. Channel support is highly appreciated and needed in order make this into a full time work for me, but it's a struggle while I'm still creating one the largest video information source out there. But I'm stubborn and keep on moving around with my camera backpack, no matter what, with the hope that some day, this will become a decent full time job that provides you with reliable information with good entertainment value as well.
The Icelandic band Gus Gus originally spawned from a shortcut made by Siggi Kjartansson and Stefán Árni (a.k.a. Arni & Kinski) called "Pleasure". Initially the band was acclaimed as an avant-garde collective of musicians, producers, filmmakers and performers. They mixed together different mediums to create a unique mixture of sound and vision. Their trademark style is combined with funky bass, streamlined synths and the intelligent use of technology and art. Árni & Kinski did the visual part and the musical side was driven by Birgir Þórarinsson (a.k.a. Veiran), Stephan Stephenssen (a.k.a President Bongo), Magnús Guðmundsson (a.k.a. Herb Legowitz). The live band was fronted by singers Daníel Ágúst, Hafdís Huld and Magnús Jónsson (a.k.a. Blake). Gus Gus is an electronic soul band formed in 1995.
