We did it! And we are so happy we did! 😊 We left our expensive, exhausting hustle & bustle life in the big city to be more self-sufficient in beautiful, tropical, Far North Queensland, Australia. We have a 3.2 acre block, 40 mins from Cairns, an old 1980's house, big shed, rainwater tanks, bore water and it changed our lives! We raise chickens for farm fresh (super) eggs🥚, guinea fowl, grow tropical herbs, vegetables and fruit trees to produce a heap of yummy, fresh, healthy food from our property. We knew absolutely nothing about producing our own food and living this life, so we just started and learnt what we needed to along the way. We now travel near and far, local and abroad to find fantastic things to grow in the tropics and how to eat them! 😋🤠 Join us as we explore the food, culture and people of South East Asia and Australia.
