He is a Harvard-trained nutritionist and MD. He is the author of 16 books on health, nutrition, longevity, and integrative medicine. He is one of the few physicians who has a degree in nutrition (Masters’s degree from Harvard) and is a practicing medical doctor (over 30 years) who treats real patients. Virtually no other "experts" have the combination of nutrition credentials, medical practice, peer-reviewed research and publication background. Dr. Shintani started two integrative medicine practices, one at a community health center and one at a University. His whole-person program won the highest national award from the U.S. Secretary of Health.
