One of Australia’s most enduring and beloved singer-songwriters, Pete Murray has built a career spanning decades with a string of multi-platinum selling albums and hit singles. He has sold over 1.2 million albums, with three of his albums reaching the top of the ARIA charts. His career has earned him 17 ARIA Award nominations. Murray’s breakthrough came with his second album, Feeler, in 2003, which cemented his status as a key figure in Australian music. This success was followed by a series of hits including “Better Days,” “Opportunity,” and “So Beautiful.” His music, a unique blend of acoustic, rock, and folk, is known for its positive and stirring sound. Decades into his career, Murray is set to release his eighth studio album, ‘Longing,’ on October 3. The album is his first completely independent release in over two decades, a milestone he’s particularly proud of. The lead single, the blissfully hypnotic “Amy,” offers a taste of his new sonic direction.
