Sailing solo around the world (not as a cliche but actually doing it) in a Bavaria 55 Cruiser - S/Y Be Free. Most of the time sailing single-handedly and occasionally with friends and other guests. Now more than 2/3 of the world is behind me. My goal is to complete my full circle and hopefully be able to continue beyond. I was almost raised in a sailboat and had my first by the age of 7. Not only did we spend every summer, and every weekend of my childhood, on the lean (Sailing) But my parents owned a boat factory, where they manufactured sailboats and smaller motorboats. So I think it's fair to say I've been into sailing my whole life. MY LAST JOB Full time working for the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue, and almost 10 years as voluntary and skipper for the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue before this. Hello guys. Well, I guess the name speaks for itself - Roaming Southern Norway - although I do other stuff too. I love hiking, camping, and everything outdoors, in the woods, by the sea, or in the mountains. As a child, 9 years of age or so, I was a Boy Scout here in Norway, but I left the movement at the age of about 19. The interest and love of nature I never left. The reason I started this channel was as a motivation to become more active again, so my first videos are bike rides. As I progressed with editing and ran out of interesting places to ride I took to the forest, and here I am. The past year (as I'm writing this 24th April 2023) I've gained a lot of confidence and feel that I really am getting the hang of this YouTube thing! I tried with an Instagram account too although that wasn't for me.
