Boasting over 400 sqm of event space, the Cambodian-German Cultural Center “Meta House” (MH) showcases a unique blend of art, education, social engagement and hospitality. Since 2007, it’s Cambodia’s #1 meeting place for art lovers Film screenings, theatre, music, dance events and DJ Parties provide patrons with an entertaining overview of what traditional and modern Cambodian culture has to offer. Mh is the Cambodian partner of the German Cultural Foundation “Goethe-Institut” (GI). To extend its reach, MH also implements community-based art interventions in schools, universities and learning centers nationwide. These projects range from judicial reparation projects for Khmer Rouge survivors, social research, women’s empowerment, and youth education. Through groundbreaking methods, such as interactive theatre, intergenerational dialogues, schoolyard and photo exhibitions, its project outreach in schools and universities is able to transcend age, location, and economic boundaries.
