I have years of experience as an amateur astronomer and owned many telescopes and accessories over the years and my channel is mostly about astronomy. But I am also very interested in all nature has to offer. So, in my videos I share with you all kinds of adventures involving nature and astronomy. I have tutorials for amateur astronomers and people wanting to get into the hobby of amateur astronomy, reviews of astronomy equipment, and videos about dark sky sites for star gazing as well as star gazing tips and trips.

Hemlock Ridge is a channel for those who love the outdoors, and a simple, but rewarding, off-grid lifestyle. In 2019 I purchased a large parcel of vacant land in a beautiful but rugged and rural setting. The property is complete with large ravines, waterfalls, numerous creeks, a pond, and yes, beautiful hemlock trees. I've since added a small log cabin and continue to make improvements to the property while being completely off-grid. Join me in enjoying this beautiful property while tackling numerous projects from solar power, wood heat, water procurement, and more, all while enjoying the beautiful wilderness, outdoors, and wildlife.
