Windows into My Life

Welcome to Windows into My Life — where I share travel adventures, hobbies, home projects, life lessons, or the moments that make life meaningful. Origins — This channel started in the summer of 2021 as a class project for speech class. Posting on YouTube was a way to allow everyone in the class to see the work of fellow classmates. Whether I’m building something, showing one of my many hobbies, exploring somewhere new, or reflecting on life’s journey, this channel is about living fully and sharing the view along the way. There’s always something to see through the next window. You are always welcome to come back and check out the next window into my life.

I've had my career pulled out from under me at 50, at 63, and again at 68. By grief, by a failed business, by burnout, and by a layoff. Every time, I learned how to rebuild because I had no other option. So when you're sitting there wondering if it's too late... I'm not guessing at your answer. I worked fully remote from 63 to 68 using transferable skills most people my age didn't think they had. Now I share what I find, real remote job openings that could replace or supplement your retirement income. I make no promises. I don't run a placement service. Just honest information from someone who's actually done it. Here's what you'll find: → Remote job roundups — roles, pay ranges, curated for people with real career experience → Practical tips on positioning your experience and getting past ATS filters → Honest talk on late-life career reinvention → And, soon, The Second Act Podcast — raw, unfiltered stories from my own pivots, and what I learned that nobody else is saying.
Hey y'all, my name is Michael, I'm 59, and I retired to SE Asia in December 2023. After working many years in law enforcement, followed by a second career in banking, I wanted to retire while I'm young enough to be able to do some of the things I've always dreamed about! Follow along to see everything I go through and what this new life is like.
My videos are about cars plus other old machinery of any kind, also a little about what is going on in my day to day life. Every now and then I will buy an old car, if the price is rite, restoring it, getting another old car back on the road. I love all "American brands" of cars of the late 50's and early 60's. There will NEVER be the styling and chrome of that era ever again! I do enjoy restoring lots of things, lawn mowers, fans, boat motors, tractors, motorcycles.... anything mechanical, most of all cars. I make videos on what I am working on, whether it's an old car or an old fan from an estate sale. Speaking of estate sales, thats something I enjoy and include in my videos also. I enjoy vintage Christmas lights, especially the C9 and C7 lights. I post videos on them when I pick them up in estate sales. Check out my Instagram, https://www.instagram.com/old_car_alley/ I hope everyone that views my videos, enjoys them. If you do enjoy my videos, please feel free to subscribe.
Do you like Lionel, Marx, MTH, K-Line, Menards, and other 3-rail O gauge trains? Do you like big trains but have a small budget? This is the channel for you! Novices are welcome here! I received my first Lionel set when I was two years old, and I have been operating and collecting ever since. On this channel, I discuss the history, operation, and repair of these classic trains - focusing mainly on the Postwar and MPC eras, 1945-1986, but some Prewar and modern trains as well. Check often for new content, and keep the trains running! **As an Amazon Associate, I earn commissions from qualifying purchases at Amazon.com made through links in this channel.** Visit our Virtual Storefront at https://walmrt.us/3sIUMQu ******************************************************************************************************************************** #Lioneltrains, #Marxtrains, #Ogauge, #O27
